How it works on acreage

Mow first. Hitch up. Tow at a crawl. Dump the tray.

01

Mow or bush hog first

The roller lifts loose goat heads, sand spurs, and grass burrs that are already on the ground. It will not pull green burrs still attached to the plant, so cut first and let the seed drop.

02

Hitch to anything with a standard hitch point

ATV, UTV, riding mower, lawn tractor, or compact tractor. The 4-foot frame tows behind all of them.

03

Tow at a slow crawl, overlap your passes

The high-density foam roller works at walking speed, not driving speed. Dense infestations take multiple passes; slow, overlapping passes clear the most burrs.

04

Dump the catch system and keep going

Burrs collect in the tray as you drive. Empty it as it fills for the best pickup on the next pass. Every burr you pull now is up to 500 plants that never sprout next spring.

Straight answers before you buy

  • It will not pull green burrs still on the plant. Mow or bush hog first, then tow.
  • Dense infestations take multiple passes. The roller works at a crawl, not at speed.
  • Best on even terrain. On rough or rutted ground, check the tray stays seated after bumpy sections.
  • Foam, screens, and baskets are wear parts. Replacements ship from Hildale, Utah.

Serious acreage

Connect rollers side by side and cut your passes.

Link as many rollers as your ground demands with steel connecting bars. Two units cover twice the width per pass; three cover three times. Multi-unit discounts apply automatically at checkout, and shipping stays one flat $99 per order no matter how many you connect.

Questions ranchers ask

Before you hitch up.

What can I tow it with?

An ATV, UTV, riding mower, lawn tractor, or compact tractor. Anything with a standard hitch point. Drive at a slow crawl for maximum pickup.

Does it pick up goat heads in pasture grass?

Yes. Goat heads (puncturevine), sand spurs, and grass burrs are what it is built for, once they have dropped to the ground. Mow or bush hog first. Dense infestations take multiple slow, overlapping passes.

Original or BIGFOOT?

The Original runs a 6 inch diameter foam roller and is the proven standard for an acre or more. BIGFOOT is the same frame with a 10 inch roller, so it holds more burrs every revolution. If you measure your burr problem in multiple acres, step up to BIGFOOT.

What maintenance does it need?

The sleeved foam roller and conveyer screen are wear parts. Swap them as they wear to keep pickup at full strength. Model-specific replacements are in our Replacement Parts collection.

Is it chemical-free?

Completely. It removes burrs mechanically. No herbicides, so it is safe around livestock, kids, and pets.

When will it ship?

Every pull-behind is built to order in Hildale, Utah. Ships in 3 to 4 weeks, then arrives in 1 to 3 business days anywhere in the US for a flat $99. You get tracking by email the day it leaves the shop.

Your pasture is next.

One roller behind the ATV. One season. Ground your animals and your kids can cross again.
