Does it work on my dirt?
Best on grass, soil, and flat ground where burrs sit on the surface. It can pick surface burrs off gravel, but it will not dig between rocks. Soft sand: the push models are light on purpose so they do not sink; add ankle weights if your ground is harder. Mow or cut green plants first. The roller picks up dropped burrs, not living plants.
What if it does not pick them up?
If burrs are still green on the plant, cut or mow first and let them drop. If the yard is thick thatch or deep mulch, roll slower and make a second pass. Push 1.0 includes a free replacement screen in the box so you can swap when the tray fills on a heavy infestation. Not right for your ground? You have 30 days to return it. Is this safe for kids, dogs, and livestock?
Nothing gets sprayed. Kids, pets, and animals can be back on the grass the same afternoon you roll. That is the point versus herbicides.
Push or pull-behind? Which one?
Patios and small yards: Push 1.0. Bigger lawns up to about an acre: Push 2.0. Acreage with a mower or ATV: Pull-Behind Original or BIGFOOT. Use the model finder on the homepage if you are unsure. The wrong tool is worse than waiting a day to choose.
What does the lifetime warranty actually cover?
The frame and structural parts are covered against defects in materials or workmanship for as long as the original purchaser owns the roller. If it breaks from a defect, we repair or replace it free. Springs, foam rollers, and screens are wear parts and are not covered, so keep a spare on hand for heavy seasons. Cosmetic scratches and normal wear are not defects. Email or call us with your order number and a photo before shipping anything back.

Adjust the angle
We like it. We’re pulling it with our golf cart and after we rigged a higher tilt on the tongue made it pick up better. It will take a while to get rid of all these stickers, but it will help.

Amazing and In Disbelief
This is the best thing since sliced bread!!! It is so simple but very effective. After an easy assembly I immediately had to test it out.TheBig Foot did not disappoint… it filled the burr trap quickly with everything pokey and prickly on the ground. It’s fast, easy usage, and does an amazing job of picking up the stickers. I have been in a constant war with sticker burrs with spraying and mowing hoping that someday I’d catch up or get ahead of the invasion. Well first I had to buy a $55 pitchfork before I could try it. Then the tines of the pitchfork didn't fit in the holes of the tool, so I had to buy a $89 grinder to make my tines skinnier. After much struggle, finally got it on. It does work nicely.

- Rake first if seed is buried deep in grass, then roll.

How is the Push 2.0 XL different from the Push 1.0 Classic?
The 2.0 XL's foam roller is 18" wide versus 12", and 10" in diameter versus the 1.0's 6". More roller on the ground every revolution means more area covered and more burrs held per pass, so it clears the same yard in about half the passes. Choose the 2.0 XL for bigger yards or heavier infestations; the 1.0 Classic is ideal for patios, driveways, and smaller yards.
What surfaces does it work on?
Hard-packed dirt, patios, gravel, driveways, and lawns. In grass, plan on multiple passes — burrs hide deeper in turf. It's light on purpose so it won't sink into sand or soft dirt; on grass or hard soil, add ankle weights to the side bars for extra bite.
Do I have to bend over or pick stickers by hand?

Bought one for a half acre backyard in Arizona, overrun with goats heads. Clearing out the actual weeds, then started in with the Sticker Burr Roller. I filled front bucket after front bucket, I could measure it in pounds. It took longer than I thought, but I believe there were actual layers of these burrs. Finally, after maybe my 4th day, I actually started to roll and not gather any, the next day, my dog actually ventured out on the dirt with me. Pretty amazing!

Thank you for waiting a bit to solicit a review. Too many companies request feedback even before delivery. I love the pitchfork blade. That is magnificent. The roller does not pick up as well as in the video. It seems to work best on the dried out burrs. So, I've been scooping up plants and then trying to remember where they were to go over with the roller at a later date. Every goat head I see roll into that basket feels like a victory over evil! I'm looking forward to your solution for bind weed!

I believe the product will fit my needs. I have not used it extensively yet. The shipping was very fast and the chat option was helpful in answering questions prior to purchasing. The only issue was with assembly. The written instructions were not clear and neither were the videos I found. My father who has been a mechanic for 70 years spent 45 minutes of trial and error putting this together

The roller picks up mowed stickers great but does not remove green ones from the stem. I was hoping to get them before they are on the ground. However, I did pick up four large trays full of them to dispose of, so it should help reduce the number available to germinate. I’m satisfied with its performance and ease of use. The tray is easy to slide off and dump, and it is lightweight. I would like to try to add weight to see if it works better that way.

We had to watch the video to assemble it, but we got it done. Picks up lots of burrs - grassburs, goat heads and others. Sometimes the burrs get under the screen and I have to pick them out, but overall I am very happy with the tool.

I borrowed the neighbors 1.0 mower until I could buy my own. I bought the 2.0. I don't like the assembly process but it works really well. II wish I could just go over the same area once on sand and that be enough but it certainly beats picking them up by hand or possibly sweeping them deeper into the sand where they can take root.

I got the chance to use this sticker burr roller once so far. I had to wait till the ground dried up from the rain. The soil I live at is mostly sandy and dirt. There's a lot of burrs here.Before I used it I added about 10 lbs. of weight onto the bar ( very easy to do ). I made two passes ( one up then one down. I rolled a 60' x 60' area. When I stopped, I had about 3 inches of burrs in the trough. This product is easy to push and seems to work great. I would definitely recommend this to anyone that wants to start taking control of these nasty burrs.

Bought this for my dad for his birthday, because whenever he has visitors with dogs the dogs will only go to the bathroom on the patio because they know the yard is full of goat heads. He's been rolling daily and is just so impressed how much it picks up and how much he's been able to remove from the yard.
