Common Questions
What kinds of burrs does the roller pick up? +
The Sticker Burr Roller is effective on goatheads (puncturevine), sand burrs, grass burrs, burr clover, and most anything with a slight burr or pricker. Each burr you pick up prevents up to 500 new plants next season.
How long do the replacement parts last? +
With typical residential use, the conveyor screen and sleeved foam roller last about a year. We recommend keeping extras on hand. Avoid prolonged direct sun exposure when not in use.
Why is it so lightweight? +
The push model weighs 10 pounds by design. Heavier rollers sink into sandy soil, which is exactly where burrs thrive. For harder terrain, you can add standard workout ankle weights (up to 10 lbs per side).
Do you have wider models? +
The Push 1.0's foam roller is 12 inches wide and 6 inches in diameter. The Push 2.0 XL's is 18 inches wide and 10 inches in diameter, so it covers more ground every revolution. For large acreage, our 4-foot Pull-Behind models attach to any ATV, UTV, or riding mower: the Original runs a 6-inch diameter roller and BIGFOOT runs a 10-inch.
Does it work on rocks or gravel? +
The roller works best on grass, soil, and flat surfaces. It can pick up surface burrs from gravel but cannot reach burrs between or under rocks.
How fast will my order ship? +
In-stock models and parts ship from Hildale, Utah within 5 business days. Built-to-order models (Push 2.0 XL and BIGFOOT) ship in 2 to 3 weeks. Either way, you get tracking by email the day it leaves our shop.
